Class Descriptions

Level 1 = beginning students
Level 2 = intermediate students
Level 3 = advanced students

Pilates Mat Class
Mat class includes a series of floor based exercises designed to create long, lean muscles, core strength, breathe control and stability in the body.  Sometimes these classes will incorporate the use of small props such as foam rollers, stability balls and magic circles to feed the fundamentals of Pilates into your body.  Mat work is the essence of all the Pilates work.  Mat classes are open to all levels.  Classes are included for all Dogma Athletica members.


Reformer Focus
Your Instructor will guide you through a series of controlled Pilates exercises on the Reformer.  All the Pilates equipment was designed to act as additional muscles to aid the body on its path to health.  The Reformer accesses the weak or illusive areas of your body to uniformly build alignment, muscular balance and flowing movement.  You will learn to focus on the way you use your muscles and breathe to achieve the greatest precision and internal power. You are left feeling long, lean strong.  We recommend a minimum of 3 private sessions before enrolling in group reformer classes.  This class is limit to 3 participants.   


Pole Class
This class offers one of the best ways to lengthen and open your body!  Using the condensed version of the famous Cadillac, pole classes give you the support of spring tension to better develop resilient, strong, powerful muscles; while decompressing joints, and uniformly developing core strength.  What a gift this is to your body.  Limited to 3 participants.


Low Chair
The chair is one of the most versatile pieces of the Pilates apparatus, enabling everyone to get amazing results from these classes.  Because of this, classes can accommodate a range of students from the most injured client, who uses it to rehabilitate- to the most advanced students, challenging themselves with push ups, back bends, and headstands.  This class is energetic and fun, so grab a friend and join us.  Limited to 5 participants.


Equipment Fusion
This class encompasses any of the equipment and is up to your Instructor as to the focus on any particular class.  One class you may experience the reformer, the next class you may move around from the Cadillac to the low chair.  This class is designed to give you a full taste of the Pilates equipment with the same good focus on breathe, balance and muscular alignment.  With each class slightly different, it's a great way to keep your body guessing while giving yourself the challenge of moving differently.  Limited to 3 participants.


Equipment Circuit
Similar to the equipment fusion class, this class will again utilize all the Pilates apparatus.  You will be moved through stations involving the Reformer, Cadillac, Low Chair, Ladder Barrel and Mat.  This is a great way to get a wide variety of exercises on different apparatus.  This class can be tailored to your own level very easily, depending on the variations you choose at each station.  Limited to 3 participants.


Open Studio
This is an one hour self guided session allowing you to continue your practice using the studio apparatus.  Empower yourself and enjoy the freedom of an independent workout!  Please make an appointment to reserve your time!
